I can't say it surprises me. People freely offer up so much information about themselves, its like dropping a nice fat steak on your kitchen floor and not expecting your dog to take off with the whole thing.

I keep telling everyone this... don't say it on the phone, in public areas, and certainly online and expect privacy. It's a sign of the times. If you think information is more accessible than ever for us, imagine what its like for those folks with all the goodies...

Its funny how childlike this all is. The gov gets caught doing something, right in the act, and when confronted, they say they aren't doing it, or they don't know the details.

Public:....did you just pick your nose and eat your boogers?

Gov:.....no?

Public: well, dont do that. its gross and nobody likes a booger eater.

Gov:....well I wasn't, but ok....
(waits until you turn around, immediately sticks finger up nose)

I don't think the technology works on a per server basis.

It would make more sense to just to connect a splitter to the data center lines or the national trunk lines. That would allow an entity to duplicate all traffic, 99% of which (including this site) is unencrypted anyways for later analysis.

The corporations like Google are accused of cooperating which means giving access to the encryption certificates so that encrypted traffic can be decrypted on the fly.

I have no direct knowledge and the above is only speculation.

Upon examining my file, NSA will determine that i spend too much time on this forum and playing that damn football (Big Win) game on his smartphone. Nothing exciting here....keep moving. :)
