What have you done to your back half?

I am looking for some ideas. What I want to do is strip all the interior out of the back half of my runner. Along with that would be stripping all the carpet out and laying down a coat of the bed liner spray throughout all of the floorboard. The back half is what I am trying to design now. I have a couple ideas already, but interested to see what other people have done with theirs.

Right now I am thinking about taking all the back half plastic out and welding in sheetmetal. Kinda making a bed out of it, but still keeping it covered. I also have designed away to put a hidden compartment under the floor in the back. You know to keep all the tie downs and straps out of the way.

If you have any pics, I would be interested in seeing them.

I replaced the carpet in mine a month or so ago, I thought about leaving the rear seats out and doing the same thing. You'll have to build a platform, because of that hump in the floor. As far as replacing the plastic 'walls' w/ metal, you can just pop out the plastic and you have a mold already, just cut around it.

I was going to replace the plastic panels on mine with diamond plate to provide locking storage. My new truck is too nice to do that to yet, I'll wait until I've trashed it up a bit. :

unless your somewhere that it gets cold and then a back half is nice to have. LOL

Thurio that is almost exactly what I had in visioned. Rock well this morning it was 28 degrees. As much as I could probably muscle through it, my 3 yr old daughter might have a slight issue with it. Silly kids they take all the fun out of everything.

if you can wait till next summer ill sell them to you, i think im going to make different ones. I was given a 12" sub so i want to make that work.
