I have had a heck of a week trying to replace my frozen brake caliper on my 2003 4Runner. First mistake was assuming if you have 17 inch wheels you have calipers for 17 inch wheels. Then ordering a caliper from Autozone. Long story short they ordered 3 diffrent calipers all ended up being passenger side, natuarally I need a drivers side.
Then the kicker is when I decided to go to Napa. They look up the caliper on their computer and ask for not only the size but the "Casting Number" (13WG or 13WL) which makes a $40 difference. Of coarse I have the more expensive and more scarce caliper. I live in Illinois and closest caliper is in Philly. The good new is all the calipers I dealt with at AutoZone were the cheaper 13WL. So at least I will have the right caliper when all said and done.
Bottom line - Dont buy calipers at AutoZone!
