What is the 20pin connector for on my radio?

I'm replacing the HU on my 2006 SR5 Fujitsu part 86120-52530 out what the 20pin connector is for? I'm replacing it with an older Pioneer DEH P770MP HU and it doesn't have anything like it. I purchased the wiring harness which will work fine, but need clarification as to what that 20pin plug is for, is it or the AUX port in the center consol? My Pioneer only has another jack for a multi CD changer? I like the AUX jack and would like to keep using it. Thanks in advance.

Is it the factory amp plug? If so, can I just leave it unplugged from my Pioneer and use the new harness and everything will work normal?

It is for the steering wheel controls.

I only have the 6 speaker setup. I finally just decided to install the Pioneer HU without attaching that plug becuase the Pioneer has a built in amp and everything worked fine...except I've lost the use of the AUX jack in the center console.

Quick question, what harness did you use to connect to your Pioneer HU?

You could get out a DMM and try to "sound out" the two wires for the aux jack, then, assuming your new pioneer unit has an RCA aux input, you could cut the ends off of an RCA cable and solder those to the two factory AUX wires you found. Then plug the other end into the AUX input of the Pioneer unit.

No worries. I ended up making my own harness out of the original one.
