What is the best Wheel Lug wrench for 4th gen 4runner

I lost my lug wrench and was looking for easy to store in lug wrench.. autozone and advance have 4way lug wrench...does any one know where can I find genuine Lug wrench or just like genuine for 21mm , 13/16"

Don't use a Standard size, it will slowly round the corners off over time (It will work for the most part but its still a loose fit which over time will wear the nuts.)

You could probably just get one from the Dealer or better yet an OEM Parts website.

03_4x4 has it figured best - I took a breaker bar from and old socket set - had to cut about 1" off the length so it would fit in the took carrier

x2 on the Gorilla wrench. It's a great tool when you don't have access to an impact gun.

Just watch your fingers near the extension part... don't ask how I know.

x2... Have used a breaker bar in all my vehicles.
Fits nicely in the PS rear storage compartment of the 4Runner where you can even strap it down.
Really comes in handy on the rare occasions when a vehicle tech is too lazy to use a torque wrench and uses an impact gun instead.
Then again, most techs that touch my vehicles don't use impact guns because they know my breaker bar is a dual purpose tool. :wink2:

just get the gorilla wrench, the one with extension and the 21mm/ 13/16 socket, fits in the stock wrench bag nicely, i use it all the time when i rotate my tires. its better than the stock tools.

21mm = .826"
13/16 = .812"
Difference = .014" = .35mm

Very close but if you have a 21mm use that.

I also use a 1/2 drive breaker bar with a 21mm socket.

I also got the storage bag and run a bungie through the handle to secure with the 2 hooks near the rear seat. Keeps it from sliding around

The standard size wrench will be fine...How often will you actually be using it?? Unless you do your own tire rotation...not very often. I use mine at most 2 times a year....so it'll take DECADES to round off the lug-nuts.

Your better off to use 13/16, it fits more sung than 21 but either one will work and wont round your lugs anytime soon (its not like its that loose). If I were you I would go to the scrap yard and find any Toyota that still has one. Doesn't matter if its a 4runner, Tundra, Camry, Yaris whatever, all the later models use the same size, plus you only use it in emergencys anyways so it doesnt have to be a nice one.

Here's the description off of the one I got-

So I don't know where you got that it was only 13/16. It comes with two sockets that are reversible.

Any lug wrench (I prefer the cross/4way for speed) and a torque wrench. I keep a dedicated 1/2 torque wrench setup to spec (just for lugs) and finish tightening the lugs after using the 4way. I highly recommend NOT using an impact (and NEVER let anyone use an impact). If the lugs are over torqued one time they could be damaged and could cause a failure and/or warp the rotors.
