What is the Drive Cycle for a 99 runner?

I replaced the battery and took the car for a inspection and the tech told me to take the truck out and drive it keeping the gas tank between three quarters and one half full. He said to cruise on the highway and do some normal driving so the computer can reset itself??

Do out 3rd generation trucks have a driving cycle. I found that Ford does.

Yes they do. Typically around 20-30 miles of mixed highway/city driving. Starts and stops, cruising, different speeds.

That, and mosts tests require 2 separate trips to complete. (Each test has its own completion cycle.) So stop for coffee and do it again. The Cat Efficiency test can take a while. A code reader can confirm that all tests are complete and you are ready for inspection (at least my BR-3 can, maybe not the simpler handhelds.)
