What is this, and can I move it?

I have a 2004 4.7. This thing is hooked to the brake system. Appears to be some sort of electronic cooler or sensor. I'd like to put my aux fuse panel here and move it, but I can't seem to figure out exactly what it does... Thanks in advance!

looks like a resistor box for the injectors but i could be wrong.

Lol. I was looking at it just a few days ago. It's a low ohm resistor for the fuel pump. It could get hot, so if you move it, just give it some space

Awesome. Thanks. I was just going to move it a few inches, but with all the electronic nonsense, I'd hate to move it and piss off some system I don't use anyway (unless it were wired in to the brakes... In which case, I really don't want to).

I think you are joking but would hate to offend you if you are not. A resistor is about as simple as it gets when dealing with electronic components. So moving it around wont hurt it as long as it is still able to dissipate heat. That said, it is important to your fuel delivery system.

Wasn't joking, but had no idea it was a resistor until somebody on here told me so...

I'm more used to modifying engines/cars that have mechanical linkages, carbs, etc. Moving around something that I can't tell what it is with a plug on it makes me nervous if I can't trace it all the way back. And well: I got tired of trying when that wire appeared to disappear into a loom with a million others.

It's been moved. All is good. You can all quit worrying now.
