I'm genuinely confused and my head is about to explode.

I would very much like to do the LED conversion for the dash, etc. etc. However, every thread I cross has different bulb sizes and none of them seem to be for the 2000 T4R. :gun5:

Does anyone here know <b><i>WHERE</i></b> i can either find a size chart or what sizes I need and for what? I do know most of the bulbs are #74's however for the gauge cluster some say #194, some say #24....

Your gauge cluster is 24 (x3) , rest of the bulbs are 74 (x 6 or 7) .
With (2) neo type a 3mm bulbs for the ac and defrost.

Theres alot of threads on here you just gotta dig

okay so i'm looking around V-LEDs and SuperbrightLEDS, and i see no #24 bulbs. all i see is #194 and #74.

EDIT: so it appears to me that #74 and #24 are one and the same.

They are different. Get the #24. I got #74 and they are loose in the socket... but they still work :banana:

No they are not , if they were the same they wouldnt have diffrent numbers.

okayokay. maybe it was the fact that i was dead tired when i was actually browsing last night. i'm not too sure. there are 4 bulbs that i see on that site that are size #24.

am i correct in my assumption that the first would probably be the best in that it will eliminate the chances of hotspots? there's also the incandescent bulb but i don't want my dash to outshine my gauges. that might be annoying.

VLEDs list their #24's under the #74's im pretty sure it says #24-74's on the link

EDIT to answer your question above the bottom are #74's. the TRI LED's would be brighter but it wont eliminate hot spots. you need to look that up there is a thread somewhere in here how eliminate hotspots. you gotta use some material (tin foil) and scotch tape to do that

well i found some stuff on autolumination.com so i've ordered the LED's from there. i got rush shipping (1-5 BD) so we'll see. hopefully they're in by the weekend, and hopefully they'll all fit and work.

what i ordered:

(3) #24 LED's for the gauges.
(4) #74 LED's. 2 for key ring/cig lighter and 2 for the climate control.
(3) NeoWedge LED's for Rear Window, ECT, and Rear Defrost.

yeah those should work man, im not sure if the 2000 is different as far as the HVAC controls but mine has 2 in the buttuns (3mm neo wedge) and 3 neowedge in the knobs (4mm) but it looks like you have the right set up. the #74's should be for your shifter (if its auto) glove box, and then like you said key ring and cig lighter. post your pics when you get them. what colors did you go with?

if you want to change your clock color just let me know or click on my build thread below and go to the clock color change link and you can do it on your own

yes. your HVAC controls are knobs. mine has two knobs and two sliders. it only has two lights.

the key ring and cigarette lighter ring are going to be red. the HVAC's will be white (so that the red don't come out too red or purple). the shifter as well as the gauges will be blue. the ECT, RW, and RD buttons will be red.

and lol i ordered swatches from you. just put it in the other night. looks awesome. can't wait for the LED's!!

don't let the light from outside fool you. the buttons don't light up green on the top of my dash and only half of the HVAC lights up.

i have not done the gauges yet. soon, though.

the plate on the HVAC controls has some glue (i'm guessing?) residue which i'm assuming is from the stickers that they put on there? i'm thinking of ways to make it not look so weird. it gives the appearance of hotspots but there are no hotspots. just like "stains." it does look kind of yellowish. sorry if this doesn't make sense.

hmmm? did you try and wash it off? Or try some reflective tape maybe its becuase some of the spots aren't getting light?

thats a tough one though. im surprsed how good they look though, it seems like you barely have any hotspots at all
