Benchmade skinner. I don't remember the model name. It has D1 steel.

My favorite of all time was my Leatherman Wave. I owned 3 Gerbers, and they all broke. I had my Leatherman for 6 years before I lost it in a lake.

Great thread! Here are my two go-to EDC's. They are the Benchmade Griptillian and the Benchmade Morpho bali-song. A friend of mine at work used to work for Spyderco for many years and made the resounding recommendation for the Griptillian (if that tells you anything...although I do like some of Spyderco's offerings). I love my model with the hole because I can open it faster than any legal spring assisted knife, and it's half the weight with far less to break on it.

The great thing about the Morpho is that it's a legal blade size no matter where you are (for the most part). It also has a belt clip to take care of that pesky concealed caveat. That being said, I'll usually carry both and only use the Morpho if I can't find my Griptillian.

That being said, we get a very nice Benchmade pro-deal, so the decision was also easy in that regard.

If you guys are looking for a great sharpening system, I love my Spyderco Triangle Sharp Maker.

SOG N66N, Have had only gerbers before this SOG and I have to say, I can never go back. perfect function, and i love the grip. IMO the best one on the market today.

Anyways, my 'standard' carry knife, considering what I do (IT specialist for the gov't), is usually a Gerber of some sort. Cheap, decent quality, sharp as CRAP from the factory, etc. Every Gerber I've ever had has had a 'blood initiation.' (Read: I cut myself like an idiot. lol)

At home I've got a few SOG knifes, a CRKT or two; but am looking to expand a bit.

Just saw this thread! I'm a knife nut. I usually carry a Hinderer XM-18 or XM-24. I rotate them with a ZT0302 and couple of ZT 0350's. On my bunker gear at work I carry a Gerber Hinderer Rescue Knife. Enjoy some pics-

None of these are your actual knife. Yours wasn't made until about three weeks ago. The Hinderers Pictured are my XM-18 2nd Generation, and two current generation XM-24's.

You need to post your own pics instead of riding the coattails of other people's pics!

Ive got one of those. Neat little knife.

Im know rockin a Leatherman Skeletool CX. Absolute love it because the knife can come out without opening the whole tool. Ive broken it a few times and all I pay to get it fixed is shipping.

For sheer sharpness, I like my Havalon Piranta, with replaceable sterile scalpel blades. You can't pry with it, but it sure can cut. For heavier work, I have a couple Gerbers, a Buck, and a Kershaw that I keep handy. Nothing too expensive (none over $60), but all very effective.
