What lift should i get?

I am looking to lift my '00 4runner 4wd. I just want something for light offroad use, and still decently comfortable on road.

For a good "lift" and suspension "upgrade" I vote OME.

you can look at my signature and see the lift I have. It does great for how I use it and what i need it for. I got 1.5 inches in the front and 2 inches lift in the back from it.

You can buy my Performance Products rear springs. They'll give you a 2" lift in the rear and the ride is as comfortable as stock.

There are a lot of options depending on what your looking for, and you've gotta answer some simple questions:

What all do you use your truck for?
Do you tow any trailers or want to carry a lot of weight?
Do you or will you install aftermarket armor bumpers?
How high of a lift do you want? (note, once you start sometimes it hard to stop!)

If you don't plan on towing or carrying really heavy loads a lot I would suggest a setup like I have currently using TRD Tundra coils with Bilstein 5100s in the front and LC coils and Bilsteins 5125s in the back (I have my lift build link in my signature). If you do want to tow or carry heavy loads I would suggest changing the LC coils for OME ones instead.

There are too many options, which is why there is a Lift FAQ sticky at the top of the page.

I went with $60 used '99 springs and made my own 1" body lift.

Depending on your interpretation of "decently comfortable on road", just about any option will be fine for light offroad use.

yea i think ima just go with an 2.5 or 3 inch ome lift. those seem not to expensive, and still decent ride.
