What Other Parts Do I need?

Hello T4R members,
I need some direction and advice on my current lift situation.
About a month ago I had the Rough Country 3/2 lift kit installed which has been great so far and love the feel and look, but want more lift on the front to match the rear since it still has some rake on the front. I am also planning in the near future to install an off-road bumper and know that it will bring the front end down some.
I was told that I should add new after market uca's and bilstein 5100s by my local shop, but when I called and spoke to a tech at Wheelers Off-Road about what I wanted to do he did not advise that unless I removed my current top spacer. He said also that a 4Runner shouldn't be lifted more than 3" in the front because this would cause more damage to my suspension.
Does anyone here know what the best route is for me to take since I'm getting two different opinions?
Thanks for any advice:rapture:

Dennis,
I agree with Wheelers. You shouldn't add a bumper with your spacer lift, as well as shouldnt try and lift more with a spacer lift. Spacers are very tough on stock suspensions.
I also believe when he is saying that you shouldn't lift more than 3" in the front he means 3" of suspension lift. I have 1.5 extra inches because of a body lift but I also have my rig lifted 3.5" from the suspension. This is perfectly fine. It creates higher angles with the CVs but if you are actually crawling over rocks rather than romping down on the skinny pedal you should be fine. I've snapped a couple CVs and every time it was because I had a heavy lead foot.
If you want a bumper, you should DEFINITELY look at getting coilovers and a complete suspension lift. These bumpers are very heavy and will cause a lot of stress on your spacers and stock coils. I would get 2.5" coilovers because they help with the extra weight of bumpers. 2.0's are fine but 2.5's will give it even more support (Those numbers are not amount of lift - they are the size of the shock). Each of those options should be able to be cranked up to 3.5" of lift.
I have Radflo 2.5s up front fully cranked and then have 2.0 in the rear and my rig is perfectly level with 0 rake.

Hey,
Thanks for responding to my post. I appreciate the feedback and helpful information you provided me with. I will end up going the route you did, but not right now since I need to pay off my recent paint job, lift and other work I've had done.
