What Rotors and Pads Did You Use to Replace Your Warped Ones?

I am in the process of ordering some new front rotors and pads for my SR5 with the 12.6" rotors. The options I am looking at comes down to these:

1. Powerstop Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors (1121x) - $129/set
Powerstop Z16 or Z 32 - $37/$52.50

2. Centric Premium Rotors (120.44128) - $53.06 x 2 = $106.12/set
EBC Green Stuff - $77.99

3. OEM???

Please let me know what you have and how you like it overall.

Just had my OEM rotors machined and went with pro stop ceramics for pads. Brakes just fine. There's a lot of talk on new rotors but you can't go wrong with OEM, they do just fine.

for the value price, check out ebay brakemotive, they do sell the powerstop setup, also have a complete rotor and pads for less than 200 i think, i had those rotors before and with ebc pads, they are alot dustier, they stop good, but after i switched over to stoptech slot rotors and hawk lts pads, its way more better. the quality is better on the rotors than the ebay stuff.

I just recently got the 4runner and it has 168k on it. I need to check if they are OEM and see how much lift it has left. But good to hear you like using the OEM rotors.

Really? That is a hell of a warranty for a brake rotor. I see this from a few searches I came across, now I have to keep this as an option. Thanks!

I didn't even think about buying from Ebay, and that is about the same price for the Powerstop setup. I was even thinking about the Hawk pads too. What made you choose them over EBC for example?

ebc pads are good, they just put alot of dust on my wheels, i went hawk and try something new, the hawk lts pad took about a month to dust my wheel up like the ebc would in a week. ebc green 6000 is a good upgrade pad, but i heard the 7000 upfront is better for less dust, i did do a complete yellow pad setup and they sure are great, just dust alot more with the drill slot rotors. if you want to change out the rubber line for ss, its a good time since you can also flush the brake fluid out too.

I just bought all OEM pads and rotors from Daytona Beach Toyota. Found them on E-Bay then contacted them directly. From what I've heard and read you can expect 15 to 20K more miles on OEM vs. Aftermarket. I was going to get Brembo rotors with OEM Pads until I talked to people at Daytona Beach Toyota. I ended up spending about $10 more per rotor to get the OEM. I got the high end OEM pads too, not the economy AZ pads for the front. Both my front caliper were frozen so I had to buy rebuilt calipers at NAPA for another $88 a piece.

Watch out though, there is a guy posting here who called me a fool for wanting all OEM.

Never found that to be true. Especially since Toyota does NOT make pads. They are made for them by one of probably several manufacturers.

I've been using Wagner pads for over 30 years now. They are an OEM supplier for several manufacturers. Great pads - at about half the price of Toyota pads from the local Toyota dealer.

I'm not a big fan of slotted or dimpled rotors for you every day vehicle. Just not needed. OEM style rotors work the best.

I'm running NAPA premium rotors and AdaptiveOne pads on all four corners. Brakes well, no noise and low dust. Running the NAPA reman'd calipers up front as well...lifetime warranty (already replaced them a few times).

I am hoping I don't have to replace my calipers, and if I do, I hope its only once... Sorry to hear you had to replace yours a few times.

I run Hawk pads and Powerslot Slotted rotors on everything I own. I drive fast and hard. I have a 2wd pre runner project, my t4, and a Charger srt8. I love this brake package.
