although i have nothing on mine blacked out with PlastiDip, i've done many trials on random chrome pieces i've accumulated over the years, and they always turn out quite well. It's very durable, and really takes alotta work to get off, so ppl can't mess wit it. Lemme know if u want a pic of somethin coated in it so you can have somethin to go off of

Anything really but I'd do something small....I think I post this everytime plastidip is advised but you can also spray paint the plastidip any color you like. Just something else to consider doing.

Something else to note...IMO in order to get the blacked out look those white letters on your tires will need to be flipped to the inside. I don't know if paying someone to do it would be worth it to me but I hate white letters out.

i debadged mine a little while ago and did this to see how itd look... Very sloppy job on my part on this, but figured itd give u a good idea of general coloring and texture.

I have removed all three. Gentle. Grab some fishing line. That'll start it. There are a few plastic guide peckers behind them you will find along with the adhesive. Pry gently. A screwdriver works but you may scratch it.

Ok so a quick update/ info... i bought plastidip today and i sprayed all four tires..with (one can) and it looks really good. i almost ran out though on the last rim. and it was $6.44 after tax

BRUUHHH im so legit i left them on the car. :vader: haha but they are all even coated. the right front will probably need a touch up just becasue it was the end of the can so it was exactly perfect. but they are LEGITTT... im going to go take some pictures now ill post them SOON!!!!!

ok so it goes frome right front to back right to back left to front left. (right front was the wheel i did last for painting) it looks awesome to me. :reddance:

Looks good. I would have never thought that you could get away with just one can. How did you keep the overspray from coating the brakes?

You should definitely look into getting those tires switched to black out.

I cut up t-shirts and stuffed them into the holes.. and i need new tires anyways so defininatly will.

I had a runner the same color I didn't like it a first...than I bolted some black steel rims on with some 245/75-R16 MTR take off tires combined with a daystar buget boost and running board removal the truck finally looked like it should.
