Alright guys I'm in a bit of a dilemma, I have an 01 2wd with 97k rims, exhaust, tirea. I would love to get a 4wd for the snow, off roading, etc. But I can't find any around the same miles and condition. What would u do?

What he said. Why are you trying to match miles and condition? Either trade your rig for something you like with 4wd, or go drop 2500 on a decent 1st gen and thrash the crap out of it.

I can understand his position. I switched from an '01 Tacoma to an '01 4Runner. My Tacoma had 78k miles on it at the time and it was hard for me to look at 4Runners with higher miles. I don't know why. Mental block I guess.
And I would either suggest patience or what the others said. Find a cheaper 4wd that you can use in the times that you need/want one.

I had a 2wd 4runner and I loved it but really wanted 4wd. I ended up getting my 4wd 4runner a few months ago and paid almost $2k more than my old 2wd but it was such a great decision. Im so happy with it.

Once you had a V6, its hard to go back to the 22re IMO.

how often are you going to wheel it? do you have cash to mod it? You could easily pick up a well used 4x4 like others said for around 2-3k and have someone else already spend the money on pimping it out
I would like to wheel more I did go look at toytruck 4runner today and idk his was sick but idk if I can spend 12500 on one
Like everybody says, it is fun when you have something you don't worry about. I couldn't spend that much and then go have fun with it. I would be like my neighbor who uses Saturday to detail cars.
Actually have a 2runner also. I just bought an ugly 4wd first. Nothin wrong with the 2runner really, it is just a tall station wagon. except I wish it was FWD.

I use my runner for dd and off road. Butt my daily commute is not even a mile both ways from my house. Today I relazied I love my truck idk if i can let it go. Wish a conversion was In the books. I like cobbs runner a lot he inspired me to love my 2wd

So hang onto your 2wd for the commutes and bombing around town (which it's more practical for anyway, better mileage), and score something in 4wd for adventuring.
Or stick a locker in the back of the 2wd and do what you can with the truck you've got. It's not as good as 4wd in a pinch, but it'd do a good job of faking it.
