What size front pinion seal do I have?

I am trying to figure out which front pinion seal I need. (for the front driveshaft).

I have a 1989 Toyota 4Runner 4x4, it's an SR5 with the 3.0 V6. Its an 89 so its IFS.

I see a ton of different seals for different sizes, including a 6.7", 7.5" and 7.8" RGs.

I am a bit stumped here. I THINK I need a 7.5", but I wanted to ask the pros here.

Anyone know?

Whats the difference between the Timken 1177 and the 1176s?

They both say they are for the front....

Is there an outer and inner or something?

IFS front diffs have a 7.5" ring gear.
A Timken catalog should tell you the difference between the two part numbers.

Pinion seal is the same for the front and rear on the '89. If you have the extra $$$, I'd recommend the Marlin eco seals. They're really nice.
