I have a 2001 T4R . STOCK. Mostly used on highway, but do go hunting regulary. Not too many really bad places though. Lookin to get out as cheap as possible. Thinking about getting a fatbobs 2.5 in spacer lift, front and back. Was wondering if I could run 285 75 16 with stock rims without rubbing. Or do I need to stay with 265 75 16 ? Also want to get some Wheel spacers too. Any recomendations ?

Well, I have about three in the front and four in the back with my suspension lift. I run 265/75/16 and can stuff the rear under extreme articulation. If you don't drive many places with a lot of articulation, the 285's should fit. But you will get worse gas mileage. I ran 265's with stock suspension. So 285's should fit with 2.5 lift.

In short. 285s will rub in the same places with a suspension lift or no lift. They will rub more often with less lift.
