What to do?

So in my search of a 4runner I've found 2 perspective vehicles and I'm looking for advice on which to get.

2003 Limited, V8, Silver, 102k, $9750
The Good: 1-owner, exclusively dealer maintained (has had every service done including the 100K), interior is great, always garaged
The Bad: T-Belt needs to be done (only service it hasn't had), Some scratches and dings in the body/running board, small chip in windshield, I prefer the Galactic Gray

The Good: Exterior is near perfect, well maintained (not by dealer), Galatic Gray, always garaged
The Bad: T-belt needs to be done, more miles, no JBL (not sure if this is even bad), $1,000 more.


This is going to be my 1st 4runner so any input is welcome and if I'm overlooking something feel free to let me know.

Are either of them with unpainted cladding ?

And as far as the JBL goes, I have it , I don't mind it, but you either love or hate it. I could care less about the JBL stuff though, it'll be replaced soon enough. It's next on my list after my lift, have most of my new audio stuff already, just gotta pick out a new head unit.

Neither have the unpainted cladding.

On paper I see no reason to spend more for the one with more miles. Unless you prefer the color and the exterior condition is really that much of a factor.

I like my JBL FWIW.

Both seem to be good options but I'd go with option 1. Seems to be a good price and well maintained by dealer. I don't get too hung up on color and options though.

Well I've decided to go with the first one. The maintenance history and lower miles were the real decision makers for me. Thanks for you input, and I can't wait to learn from all of you.
