I average about 21-22mpg according to the computer so figure 19-20 average with an even mix of city/highway. Handling, acceleration and body roll I wouldn't think would be any more noticeable on a 2wd vs 4wd. If anything it would be better as there is slightly less weight up front. I don't go off roading other than gravel fire roads so I couldn't give you any info there. That seems like a pretty good deal though if there's no issues with it.

I average 15-17 mpg's but I run heavy E rated 33" tires with extra weight of rear bumper and roof rack with lights which doesn't help, but also means I can careless about my mpg's.
Handling and acceleration....mmmm wanna race? Then you can tell me. Remember there's only 4 gears so in 4th I have full pedal and throttle response at all times there's no waiting to hit 5th or already being in a overdrive 5th gear. I smoke cars and trucks all day long.
Body roll...mmmm what's that? I wouldn't know since I also have no sway bars....lol and still I don't understand these words you speak of "body roll".
And for myself, it's my fiances DD and I wheel the dog s*#! Out of my rig and she handles every bit of it with a smile. But gets just as much pampered when she gets home, spoiled rotten. She don't let me down then I don't let her down.
Also lighter and less mechanical suspension parts to brake or to go wrong, hence why they are used to haul ass across deserts "pre runners" 2wd rigs. Also can lift them higher much easier with less complications and less money.
Yes I have locker, non oem and non factory. It is a Spartan Locker which has adapted and taken to the 4th gen like it should have been there from factory to say the least, I luv it.p and would change it for nothing. And for $234 bucks brand new and 6.5 hrs of my time by myself in the garage I have a very capable all terrain vehicle. Disadvantage? There is one Achilles heal and that's stopping in soft soft sand, just need to put a tire on some rock,a bush or hard pack. But in the same regards I have wheeled all over Ocotillo wells, devils slide, pumpkin patch etc etc and not get stuck at all.
Also I have 275k with not one major mechanical issue what so ever just regular o'l maintenance and parts replacement that I choose to change or I happen to brake. All of that 275k has been done in my garage no mechanics no stealership.
It's a DD and our off road rig ...so this word "disadvantage" you speak of I do not understand.
I don't want anyone to waste there money and buy a car with it having a disadvantage to them. So how about I go and buy it and let you know if I find one.
