What type of head to buy?

I just blew the head I think about two days ago and my engine got hot and oil was everywhere around the front of my engine. I am sending it to a mechanic next week I was just wondering if there is a head that I can buy that I can have the guy put on that is better then the factory one or if it will be cool just to put the factory one back on if its not warped of course. Just wondering what would be better and why. I am just looking for this thing to last and not go out again its got 170,000 miles and this is the second time I am replacing it. Thanks for any suggestions or information. It leaves in six days......

DOA and LCE both sell preformance heads for the 3VZE.. But I hope you have deep pockets.

What do you mean the head "blew"... valves? head gasket?

I could not tell ya if it was the head gasket or valves. Its only gonna cost about 1100 to change it out and the waterpump. Alls I know is I had no compression on #5 cylinder and I still drove it because the mechanic said that it would not hurt nothing to drive it until I got it fixed and about two months later which was two days ago I smelt something when I got home and opened the hood and there was oil all over the front of my engine so I just figured with the bad compression and the oil on my engine that It is a head gasket This is my first 3vze and I have only owned it for about 3months...so I am pretty much going off of other peoples opinions on what it may be. It is my only vehicle that is the only reason I even drove it in the first place for that two months.. If you have any ideas I would love to hear it because I would hate to spend money if I dont have too.
