what wheels will be a better fit?

I am looking into getting the Mamba m12 20" x 9" wheels.

But not sure whether to get it in 0mm offset or 12mm offset.

The tire size I'm debating about right now is either 265/50/20 or 275/45/20

I have stock suspension, no lift.

I believe the OEM 17" sports edition wheel spec is 17" x 7" offset 30mm. Which is what I currently have on the truck.

I don't know if they will rub of not.

I'm hesitant to respond because its a 20, and I don't know how much difference that diameter and 9" witdth will make over a 17...


but as far as offset goes.....

You do understand that 12mm is about a half an inch right? It's not going to make or break you. I would go with the plus 12mm.

i was hesitant on the 0mm offset, the only issue is that, i don't have a lifted 4runner and i don't want it to rub when i turn. but i do plan on lifting it in the future.

I'm running 20x10's with 275/55/20's, Daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer lift. Offset was +20 but added a 1" spacer due to hub bore not being large enough on the wheels for the 4runner. With the spacer brings the offset to -5.

In the end I decided to go with the 0mm offset.

Reasons why is because I will be lifting my 4runner in the future and putting bigger tires on it. So I thought about it and didn't want to experience the headaches of having a wheel spacer and worrying about my wheel studs.

I can confirm 20"x9" wheel do fit (with 0mm offset) on 265/50/20 tires just perfectly. The wheels are more pushed out as expected and when I do a full turn. It does touch the front wheel liner but it doesn't seem to really rub because I haven't seen any damages nor heard any noise really.

I can confirm if I have went with a 275/45/20 tire. It wouldn't have fit and for sure it would have rubbed a lot.

I can however confirm from measurements in the rear. It has enough room to clear 275/50/20 without rubbing. In fact I am almost certain I can fit 285/45/20 in the rear without rubbing.

On your 4runner. Did you modify your liner a bit and pushed it forward to ensure that your tires don't rub when you turn? And did you upgrade your uca in order to fit 275/55/20 tire size?

And how close is the tire from touching on the inside with your current setup? If you can. Can you take pictures on the inside of the wheel well to show me the clearance of the tire in full turn and pointing straight.

I want to see the clearance of the strut/shock/uca/wheel liner/mud flat.

largest tire I can run without scrubbing.

Hey guys i am new to this so just bare with me. I am buying in a couple weeks 20x10 ultra carnage rims with -25 offset i was wondering if anyone can help what would be the biggest tire i can run without scrubbing i have 2.5 maxtrac leveling kit on my 2005 sport edition 4runner with bilstein 4600's. If anyone knows the biggest tire i can run without scrubbing. thanks
