What would you pay for this 4Runner?

What would you pay?

The tires have nice tread but lots of cracks which I guess means they're dry rotted?

The motor for the antenna is messed up so there is no radio

The front board is cracking

Paint has some scuffs from branches and there are a couple glops. Looks like the dealership did a cheap paint.

Ignore the price listed, what would YOU pay for this thing?

I would give 2,800-3,500. All that stuff you can repair. I got mine in somewhat better condition than this one for 3200. Tires were gone. AC needed to be recharged. So i knew i wasnt going to build up my truck little by little.

I honestly wouldn't buy a 4-cylinder OR a 2wd, but I guess if I were looking for that I might pay 3.5-4k?

3k would be a great deal, 3.5k would be fair (to you)

Do any of you have experience with a 4cyl 4runner? It was loud and the noise was a bit annoying. Would a cold air intake fix that?

Mine is like that. Right down to the cheap paint job. Paid 2900. Don't want to fix the antenna. I would compression test it to see if the valves are messed up. I don't think I would have paid any more for mine. Too much $ into fixing the cracked header, shocks, valves adjusted etc.

Yeah, I haven't had it checked out yet. This was just from walking around it and a quick test drive. How did the 4cyl treat you? The power didn't annoy me but the noise sure did!

THE CAR RUNS PERFECT AND THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH IT THE CAR IS PERFECT.

well Hell..I am looking at a 95 for 4600 and 96000 miles. I am saying what do you think? I would at least get it inspected by a dealer after a test drive...

Yeah man, there is no way whatsoever that I wouldn't get it checked. I'm still contemplating if I'll even go for it. That 4cyl engine was just loud..not a purty loud either.

Can you descibe the loud noise?

Cause my 99 2.& 4x4 is very quiet at just about any speed.

Just like when I pulled out and had to push the speed up from 0-45 it was very loud. It wasn't whistling or chugging or anything. Just oddly loud. Sorry, not really able to describe the sound haha. It just kinda screamed "CHEAP" in my ear. Have you done any exhaust stuff or anything? I'm driving a 4 cyl turbo audi right now..that thing purrs when I pull out..Might just be something I would have to get used to I guess.

I honestly didn't. I knew regardless I would be coming back to see it again so I didn't search every little thing. Could it maybe be that the cab wasn't completely insulated? Just popped into my head.

The cat was cut out of mine and I think the muffler is shot so it is loud. But, when the cracked header was still on, it was much louder and droned in the cab at 50-60. I didn't actually notice the cracked header until I seafoamed it and got a cloud of smoke in the engine bay. It is hard to find the leak because of the heat shield. No, it isn't a nice sound, either. Mine still sounds bad but is at least quiet going down the road. Sounded worse before the valves were adjusted, at least I think so.

It's entirely possible that somehow there's an issue with the insulation. Is it likely? I would say it's not likely. Have someone sit inside of it and steadily rev the engine and see if you can tell where the noise is coming from. If it's quiet outside, then it might be the insulation.

I don't buy things from people who are not intelligent enough to properly describe to me what they're selling.

I said it.
