Alright guys I bought the front brembo rotors which I found on eBay for 110 free shipping. So I'm replacing the brakes and rotors in the front my question is now does anyone if there a right up or where, I can find step by step proper way how too? I wanna find how to proper way Toyota recommends to replacement just too make sure that I'm doing the correct. Thanks

I picked up brembos off amazon for about that price, they have been great.

There's not too much to replacing the rotors, remove the wheel, pull off the brake caliper (2 bolts), rotor slips off, new one slips on, put the caliper back on, then the wheel.

The only tricky spots are not letting the caliper dangle from the brake line, and possibly compressing the calipers so that they fit over the new rotor. If you have any doubt about doing it, grab a Haynes manual and it will walk you through it. There is nothing special toyota will tell you, this is a very standard maintenance item. The only thing you could pay attention to is the torque for the lugs and the caliper bolts. Haynes will specify the torques, otherwise go with the German method of "Gudentight" (good and tight) meaning don't crank your whole weight on it, but tighten, well, good and tight.

BTW, you can always find walkthrough videos on youtube if you want to watch someone do it. That's a great way to learn, though I always recommend having a haynes either way.

I have Brembo rotors and Akebono ceramic pads on both my 2002 Runner and my wife's 2002 Tacoma. No problems with either vehicle.

I have the 231mm Tundra size and the Tacoma has stock size.

I would do research. From what I've heard, Brembo blanks rust quickly because they have no coating. I hear that cheaper Centric brand rotors actually have a coating to prevent rusting. Of course, this could be different from vehicle to vehicle.

EVERY time you brake it shaves off the outer layers of steel until eventually they are much thinner and out of spec. SO there is no coating on any rotor that wouldn't be rubbed off after the first few stops.

Perhaps the rotors you have seen rusting were just such low quality steel they rusted easily ...

My Brembos dont have any rust issues and I often leave my truck sitting for a week or more at a time.

Most "coated" rotors are some sort of Zinc coating. They do a thin electrolisis layer that covers the parts that are not "shaved" from the pads. It keeps the hub tophats and rotor edges from rusting as much.

I wasn't specific enough. Sorry. I'm referring to the "hats" of the rotors as I believe they are called. The Brembos are bare steel as opposed to the Centrics being coated.
