Whats a good price on used Kings...

I found a set of Kings for my 3rd Gen. What is the going price for them used. I have no reference to go off of in the mid west because you know it all about Rough Country around this place. Not saying it bad it's just not what I'm looking for. He says they are about 2 years old, bought them and didn't use them on his Taco. They are 20in from top to bottom eye hole. Also will they work?

Is anyone running the Kings from a Taco on there 3rd Gen 4Runner? How are they?

How much is he selling them for? Do they have a top mount adapter to mount to the stock shock mount?

Do you know what year tacoma they're meant for? I'm not sure you can judge fitment based solely on the length of the shock body. In any event, I had been shopping around for new shocks and strongly considered going with some Kings before settling on a set of Fox coilovers. A new set of Kings runs $800-$1,000, depending on where you get them. Since they're rebuildable, there's little downside to buying a used pair. Just take into account the cost of a rebuild. I'd feel comfortable paying $400 for that set of 2-year old coilovers, presuming you first verify they will fit.

20" extended length and no top hats make those a 6" travel generic coilover not an OEM replacement. New price about 400 to 450 depending on what spring package and 2.0 vs 2.5 body. More if you start adding reservoirs and stuff. I would be comfortable paying 500 considering they haven't been used. Shouldn't need a rebuild but I would budget in 100 bucks in parts in case they do. Rebuilding is really simple. Filthy Motorsports has a killer guide on it.

A 6" coilover is going to be long on a 3rd gen. OEM replacements are usually 5-5.25" travel. Besides fabricating a top mount you're going to need limit straps if you plan on wheeling it. And then you might as well just flip these and buy the correct length coilover because you aren't gaining any travel or saving any money by going this route (once you count fab time). Short answer is yes they will work, but it's definitely not bolt on.
