Whats my bed worth?

I'm thinking of making some changes to our sleeping set up in the 4Runner, and was going to throw the old set up on Craigslist, but I honestly have no idea what to even list something like this for. Any thoughts?

Just a joke bra - to be honest I don't see it being worth more than the cost of materials to make it.

Not sure what ToyTec has to do with what your bed is worth. You're not calling ToyTec support for a suspension related question at the moment...

I like your design and ingenuity on this project. However the application of this is very specialized due to the construction accounting for the fridge. For that reason, I think I agree with the above, that you may be able to recoup the cost of material. I'm thinking, 250-300$ is realistic.

I agree 100% about the specialized part which is why I posed the question to you guys. The good news is it will fit with most fridges, or other gear. I had an Whynter when I started, and now have the ARB. The fridge doesn't actually mount to the bed in any way.

Size wise its just under 6' from memory. You can see the 77.6" Exped mat we ended up going with in my last link. It pushes slightly up onto the front seats.

Regarding the peg strength, this was originally done just over 5 years ago, and it's never had a failure. While my log in is "stick figure", I myself am not. I'm going to say 500lbs of weight would not be an issue.

As for pricing, the numbers most of you have thrown out are more than I was originally going to ask, so that gives me a way better idea of where to start. Hopefully it goes to a good home.

As for the black light test, well the mat won't come with it, and you can always sand and repaint. lol

On the other hand, though, some folks don't know how or have the vision to build this kind of thing.

You might post it with a number you'd be happy with, and see what comes in.
