Whats needed for an 03 to run 33's?

I sort of fell into a set of 33 x 13.50 super swampers with less than 1000 miles on them. I love the look of these tires, and they'd be a fun upgrade to my current revo's. I take the 4r off-road about 1 weekend per month.

My question is, how much lift would it take to roll on them? it "looks" like my current 3/2 (3" rear 2" front) lift might give me clearance, but I'm not sure how far I'd be able to turn the steering wheel or if I'd rub at full compression.

Anyone running 33" swampers? Whats your setup? Do you have regrets?

33x13.5/17 works out to 343/59/R17 .. good luck gettting that tire to fit! you're going to need to add at least a 2inch body lift, and new rims that have an insane offset to push those tires out to prevent from rubbing the body mount.

if you decide to try to make this work, make sure you keep us all informed of your progress.. I dont think there is ANYONE on here running a 13.5 wide tire on a 4th gen.

33x12.5's are hard enough to fit, not sure if I know anyone who has done 13.5's.

I would assume 3.5" of lift, 1.5" body lift, HEAVY trimming of your inner fender and bumper, and cutting your body mount would be a minimum. Not sure where else you will rub with 13.5's.... I doubt its impossible as there are guys running 35's, but I could be wrong....

Ah, I did totally forget about those. Definitely after market wheels/spacers and/or UCA's. Not sure if you need both, but you may.

My thoughts are regardless of how good a deal you got on the tires, it will be negated by the amount of effort needed to fit a tire of that width.

Not to mention swampers aren't ideal for a truck only taken off-road once a month. They will be terrible tires for a daily driver.

You will want to change the gear ratio. You will loose power with that tall a tire. when I put 33s on my Jeep it sucked until I went to 4.10 gears. If these tires are 15 inch wheels I do not think they will work.
