I def don't feel comfortable at that speed lifted. I think I did 80 the whole way down to colorado a month ago.

About 22mph

Course shes 38 tons w/ a 500 hp V12.

Now my 4runner (old one) we did 85 all the time... still waiting on my 5th gen. My friend has a 4th gen, V8, he does 90 all the time... and his driving record shows it!

I was in the 90's the whole way down from Mammoth last NYE on the 395 south and it felt great. I think I set a record by making it back to San Diego in 5 1/2 hours! :lookout:

There was even some very light snow dusting on the way down, so I may have been going too fast but it handled great and never felt like it was about to lose control.

I do 80 regularly and feel nothing but comfortable. I think it's around 85-90 when the ECO light and meter just shuts off :police:

I'm usually cruising at 80 with the flow of traffic. Some freeways, I'll cruise around 90, I always just try to blend in with traffic. My 4Runner feels more stable at higher speeds with the OW suspension than it ever did with the stock setup, even at 2+ inches of lift height. :lookout:

LOL tank!! for real

I doubt I've broken 80 with it. Just don't see the need.

Now, my friend's '06 BMW M5... I've done some very illegal numbers in that thing.

Yep

LOL tank!! for real

Yep, just another one of my passions... mil vehicles.

The 4runner is another now. Supposed to be getting my '11 TE Salsa Monday or Tuesday!

Now if I could just figure out the tires? Nitto, BFG, Duratracs etc.!

I had mine up to 100 mph for a short time and thought it felt suprisingly stable. Regardless of how I thought it felt I'm certainly not comfortable driving a 4Runner at this speed. I was just curious and suspect that will be the last time.

FYI guys i posted the pic on my other thread...but i got the wheels and tires....and wow huge difference on the highway tracks much better more solid feel n no wandering......275/20 yokohamas prada x....was doing 90 smooth and steady on way to work today.

Noise!

I love the duratracs, but coming out of a Wrangler 4dr, I REALLY want to cut down the noise and get a smoother ride... input all?

They aren't loud. At most they hum, but you don't hear that until you hit 60 and there is no other noise in the cabin. At 44 psi (LT tires) they were as smooth as the stock tires with none of the "roaming" that the stock tires like to do.

Duratracs

Don't listen to Mike... I swear he must own stock in them.

Just kidding man, it sounds like a great tire and maybe I'll give those a shot next since so far I've heard nothing but good things about them (Mainly from their promoter SeattleMike :biggrin2:).

100mph on stock setup.

85mph lifted.

Also, I gotta go with Mike and say the Duratracs. Although I only have about 2000mi on them, believe me they aren't loud, they lightly hum (I had mud tires previously). Rides smooth and handles variable road conditions very well. They look mean too!
