So, as some of you know....I have bought myself a used set of Procomp Mud Terrains for the winter and thrown them on my stock wheels.
I've been running them for a over a month now, and well.....I am not very happy with the ride quality! They vibrate like crazy, and are loud as heck!
First of all, I should add that I have NOT had the tires balanced yet. My dad, an old school Tire guy, suggested I try running them without weights...just to see if they needed it first.
Second, the front tires are badly worn. The guy I bought the tires from, put them on after doing a lift, and hadn't done an alignment on the truck....so the inside part of the tread is near down to nothing....while the outside part, is still pretty good.
Now, my question is....are the tires vibrating so much because of the weights not being on.....or because the tire are unevenly worn??? I'm thinking of looking for another 2 Procomp MT's in 265's to replace the worn out ones, so I don't really want to pay for wheel balancing if I'm gonna be replacing the 2 front tires in the spring......
Any opinions or insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
