what's the value of this '97 4runner?

Hey all, I could use a hand here. There's a '97 SR5 5-speed that I'm interested in in Denver Co.
An independent dealer is selling it and has no service records. He wants about $8k.

Truck has:

175,000 miles, a (newest generation) TRD supercharger and a TRD exhaust, as well as the pillar boost guage.

I haven't seen the truck in person yet, or driven it, but in the pics it looks good. Tires are good. That's pretty much all I know.
The guy I talked to said his boss, who buys the trucks, always inspects timing belts for wear and replaces them if needed. That doesn't really sit all that well of course.
I owned a '97 T4R years ago, so I know how they feel when healthy.

Should I consider this truck at this price with no records?

Check Carfax, some good stuff there usually, including service dates sometimes. Also, you can often find details of the previous owner and contact them to ask questions.
175k is going to be your best bargaining chip here, I think you could bring the $$$ down a little.
