What's up with Partsouq?

I've been looking for parts lately and everything I've checked on their site has been hideously expensive compared to even dealer parts.

What happened? Covid supply chain issues? Some weird new import tax?

Yes, parts have gone up a lot and are in short supply. I have to look at at least three places just to find routine parts to fix customer's cars and can hardly even give an estimate anymore because the parts I quote might not be in stock tomorrow.

I noticed that a while ago too, maybe around the beginning of 2021 I saw some odds and ends getting raised in price. Not really sure why, but if anything I initially found it strange how cheap the were to begin with - especially coming from the UAE, and so quickly too usually. So in a weird way I guess it doesn't really surprise me
Probably typical supply chain issues these days. Hell just last weekend I went to - and I'm not even joking - TEN different stores looking for canned pumpkin and some farm implement spray paint. Took me 4 or 5 stores to find a SINGLE can of pumpkin and never found the farm imp; in fact every store was nearly completely sold out of spray paint, big chains and little stores alike. Everything is beyond screwed

Yes like others have said, finding parts now days is a crap shoot. It’s impossible to find some things anywhere. I wanted to get a new filler neck for the fuel tank relocation project but that part does not exist new anywhere.
