what's with the new mobile1 mileage specific oils?

yeah, so i don't know about the rest of you, but i use mobile1 synthetic. and allow me to state this! i am not going into the amsoil/mobile1 fued! so, now that this is clear....


what is with the new mileage specific oils from mobile1? i have been changing the regular mobile1 full synthetic at 5k religiously. never had a problem. i do 95% highway driving, and i feel that this is not a problem, as conventional oils say that with highway driving, you can stretch the change intervals to 5k, no problem. but then i see the new commercials for 5k, 7.5k, and 15k. what gives? just a marketing ploy, or have they changed something? reason i am asking is that i am doing an oil change tomorrow. not positive there is a price difference, but i am guessing there are. any and all opinions are welcomed. i am going to stick with the old mobile1 unless someone can prove why i should change.

the mobile 1 synthetic is working fine, so i don't see a reason to switch. IMO i wouldn't, but i do wonder why they came out with the others.

i will count you as a vote in favor of my current opinion. if i have time, i will try to dig up some facts on what is up with the new oils. but that is a huge if. work is a bit hectic today.

Keep changing every 5k.....
