What’s wrong w/ my 4runner part 3 Update

If you have not read my last few posts, related to this craziness. If you have not here's a quick recap. 4R would try to start on its own, no key, light and horn would randomly flash, all till the battery died. I live in Maryland and over the pass 2 week there has been snow, ice storms and rain.

This is the update part. I found a small drip of water dripping onto the inside fuse box. This was causing the problem. I dried everything and the 4R runs.

Question. Has anyone had to reseal their windshield or had to replace the gasket. Are the gasket prone to wearing out/shrinking. My 94 Land Cruiser had a similar problem.

Thanks
Scott

Glad to hear you found the issue.
Regarding windshield seals, I just noticed mine peeling away driver side at the top...

Driver's side? The most likely cause isn't the windshield, but the rubber grommet where the wiring from the engine bay comes into the cab.

Water literally POURS over that rubber boot when it rains. If it is at all out of place or has aftermarket wires run through it, it will leak right into the cab.
