What's wrong with my hot water tank?

[Okie]

I have a gas hot water tank. The burner will not stay lit. After lighting, it goes into a full flame heating the water then suddenly shuts off after a minute or so as if a light switch is being turned off.
My other gas hot water tank is working fine as well as my other gas appliances.

Thanks! - using that link as my base info for more searching, I found out that the thermocouple is the culprit.

Great! Then you can repair it without replacing the entire water heater.

Remember, saving money is a GOOD thing!
