What's your daily pocket knife?

i have a gerber Legend that I use for daily stuff around work (i'm an aircraft mechanic, so the screwdriver stuff is handy for removing fairings and opening cans of oil and hyd fluid)

and my knife is a CRKT M16-14...i've had a couple over the years and I love em. Reasonably priced and they stay pretty sharp.

I've had a benchmade....i bend the clips on em too easily, so it kept falling out of my pocket....i lost one of my 100$ ones that way and after that I put them up

I have that CRKT knife and love it. I carry it mostly on duty when I'm working at the PD. I also carry a KA-Bar on duty as well.

It has a nice little sheath that is retention, and you put your inner belt thru it, then your duty belt on top of that. So it's kind of concealed.

This is my daily knive. It's always on my glove box. In TX i can carry it on my pocktet 24/7. Since am in SFO and am not sure about the laws here and CA I keep it on the car. Does any one knows if am able to carrying with me on my pockets?

I carry the Benchmade 9050 AFO AUTO most days as a around town knife

If i am working I carry the kershaw blur because its cheaper if i somehow break the blade

I have a custom handmade Tim Hull fixed blade that i carry as a self defense knife when i go out to the bars.

I look at a knife as a tool so I try to pick the right tool for the job.

Benchmade 530SBK. Super light and thin, it's by far the best knife to carry if you have to wear nice pants and heavier knives either flop around in the pocket or make the pocket edge sag.


One thing I'm dissappointed in: the black finish has come off the blade on the tip where the tip slides into the frame guides repeatedly. Annoying, cause I like the knife to look nice even though I use it all the time.

I know technically it isn't a knife, but I carry a Leatherman Wingman with me EVERYWHERE. Never know when you're going to need it, I'd definitely get another. I'd like a regular pocket knife, but can't justify it besides hunting, which would be a completely different knife lol.

I carry, and will carry till i die, my HEST DXP. This is by far the best knife i have ever owned. Its D2 steel, titanium alloy frame, Rotoblock (locking mechanism that makes it fixed blade until released), glass breaker on bottom, and cant forget beer bottle opener on blade

Definitely a bas a** knife. I use it for pretty much everything!

I'll throw in my carry knife I guess. It looks like the most popular are the benchmade's and the kershaw's. I carry around this SOG Pentagon Elite I

Had it for about 5 years and still love it, never had issues with it. The lock and release mechanism is the smoothest I've encountered. Never cleaned, just used a ton. Its been through desert deployment without issues, I'll use this knife until it breaks or I lose it, both are unlikely.

Then I broke down and bought a Spyderco Native with S30V steel. I now carry a Para2 and I don't see myself replacing it for a long time.

I agree. The few Spyderco knives that I've owned turned out to have the most useful blade shapes.

I carried a Gerber Paraframe for a few years until the TSA bas****s confiscated it. I say they "confiscated" it, but actually got lucky and was able to throw it in the trash just before hitting the checkpoint. My wife's friend/co-worker just happened to be the TSA agent working the ID checkpoint and while they were chatting I stuck my hand in my pocket and noticed I was carrying my knife like I do every other day. I threw it away in a trashcan never to be seen again.
