What's your favorite oil?

Greetings! I'll be doing some oil changes to our 2003 Highlander and 2005 4Runner, 111k and 138k respectively. One item that was recommended with the Highlander was to go to synthetic oil because of common issues with oil consumption and also oil sludge. So I was curious what everyone's favorite oil is for you 4Runners too. Many people do synthetic? If so what brand?

You're going to get a multitude of answers and a few "do a search" replies lol.. But I've been using Castrol Synthetic 5w30 for a very long time with Wix filters...

Amsoil Signature Series 0W30 in the Canadian winter and Amsoil Euro Formula 5W40 in the Canadian summer. Was actually thinking of just running the Signature 0W40 all years round this next oil change. I have run the Amsoil extended drain oil filters (the taller one, I forget the model #without issue) but was considering going back to the Toyota oil filter once I run out of the Amsoil filters as an article I read that cut them all open said that the Yota stock filter was the best. Some stealerships here locally sell Amsoil and some sell Mobile 1. I will continue to buy Amsoil as I have been extremely pleased with their produce and service for over 15 years.
