Thats about what it cost around here. It has gone up over the years, same with tire mounting and balancing.

I went with the lifetime alignment deal at my local Firestone. Can't remember all the fine print, but i'm pretty sure its simply as long as I own the vehicle. Being i've just about have her paid off and plan on keeping her for a long, long time (god willing) it was well worth the $157 to never have to pay for an alignment again.
You'll have to do a Google search to see if you have a local FS near you. Your not always going to get the most top notch mechanics working there, but as I pointed out above, you can have it done as long as you own the vehicle so if you're not satisfied just take it back to them and one of the other mechanics run the diagnostics again.
Someone else on here also mentioned another lifetime deal that was similar to FS's. Can't remember exactly who it was (maybe Goodyear or maybe Tire Rack, not sure), but if you do a thread title search for alignment you might be able to find the thread, it was only about 4 months ago or so.

$129 Lifetime at Firestone since I bought the Revo 2s there.
Man I was quoted $141.95 with 4 wheel balancing at Tire Plus that is freaking way over what you guy are getting. This is only a one time alignment not even life time, I think the price is way over board I'm live in Saint Paul, MN. I'm not going to Tire Plus for that amount I'll shop around and see if I can get a cheaper price. I thought it would be around $79.99 for alignment and what are you guy getting for price on 4 wheel balancing.

well i forgot to mention that my rig is a 2wd so i only had to align 2 wheels so not sure about the pricing for a 4wd drive is but good luck! 141 sure does sound like alot to me though >.<

I pretty much got raped for an alignment post lift. They charged me $175, which is apparently what that shop normally charges for lifted trucks. The most annoying part is that they were the only decent alignment shop that I know of that would even touch a lifted truck.
Anyway, yeah around $60 give or take a few bucks sounds right for an alignment

Pretty average for most shops to charge around $100 for a alignment with a warranty of some kind. A buddy of mine is a mechanic at Toyota and charges me $40 to do alignments on the side.

$60-90 is typical; anything above or below that is uncommon. Firestone would be a good idea if you think you'll be getting new tires and/or lift in the next few months after this alignment.

If I'm not mistaken, can't you ONLY do a 2 wheel front end alignment? If I remember correctly from reading here, there is no adjustment that can be made in the rear. :shrug:
FWIW, I paid $70 for my alignment after my lift and after I did some front end work recently. 90 day warranty too.

Dude no way only $40 for an alignment?! I need to find a place or someone like that... i def need one bad but dont wanna pay $100+, ugh.

Nationwide Chain like Firestone will have Lifetime alignments for $150-$200 and here I have a small Southern Cali chain Ramona Tire with 18 stores offering for $130. Their one time alignment is $75
As I noted earlier Evan's tire is running a $100 life time special. The promotion is still valid. Just FYI in case one is near by.

well, I have some slightly bad news...
my car was off but what's worse, my inner, outer tie rods are worn out along with the rack and pinion leaking..
they quoted $1100 for the job...
I'm thinking about just doing it myself instead.. maybe the lower ball joints too while I'm at it?
what do you guys think?
I'm going to stick with oem parts as much as I can..
have any person ran after market inner and outer tie rods? are they pretty good?
