Wheel alingment price

well, I have some slightly bad news...

my car was off but what's worse, my inner, outer tie rods are worn out along with the rack and pinion leaking..

they quoted $1100 for the job...

I'm thinking about just doing it myself instead..

what do you guys think?

I'm going to stick with oem parts as much as I can..

have any person ran after market inner and outer tie rods? are they pretty good?

Ok here are a couple sources for you, since I just did a complete front end rebuild(not really by choice).

www.Toyotasteering.com- remanufactured steering rack (all Toyota parts/rack) with inner TRE $275 +$125 core. They have a new rack for $375 but guy told me it is aftermarket chinese and should get the reman since it is pure Toyota.

I had some old Autozone outers I never put on but would suggest ToyotaPartSales.com to get factory Toyota ones for about the same price as the parts chains.
