wheel bearing replaced-now constant scraping sound over 7mph up to 25 mph

00' SR5 4wd v-6,auto, The wheel bearing was replaced last week. I picked it up and drove it and noticed a sound, went back to the shop and had someone drive it-said it was probably tire noise and didn't hear anything - the noise didnt change,(slow speed grind/rub), or show on highway or when turning at slower speeds nor change when braking

I am planning on going back to the garage,but am looking for some guidance on what could be the issue 1st.

there is no ABS light on dash,no vibration,no shimmy, I put it in 4wd and nothing changed,braking doesn't affect it.

could the hub have been put in wrong upon being reinstalled ? if the bearing wasn't pressed in properly would it be a constant grind- I bought a toyota WB fwiw

before the WB was replaced it was silent when I turned the wheel one direction,and grindy when straight or turned the other direction,now I have a constant moving grind that is unnoticeable aver 25 mph due to road noise
I may take it to a midas or ? for a look before I go back to the garage but wow, that is a whole nother day wasted w/o a vehicle

any suggestions or prior similar story is appreciated,thx guys ! :wink2:

Check the brake dust shield, once before I had some work done and it got bent and would rub when I turned. It's pretty flimsy and you can pull it away a bit. Let use know.

I checked the dust shield 1x already- but only the back section closer to driver seat

I jacked up the front end,spun the wheel and reached behind the front of the wheel to find a shield issue in the front part of the dust shield closer to the bumper. I bent that out of the way and all is better.

after getting the toyo dealer insisting the entire front assembly needs replacing to complete a wheel bearing job I was wondering if something didn't go together properly after WB install.:frisky::biggrin2::reddance:
