I've heard a periodic ticking noise form the left front for about the past month when i hit 50 mph. stealership is telling me the left front wheel bearing is shot and said while it's not a safety concern it (and maybe the hub) should be replaced.

He qouted me $900.00 for OEM parts and I think $700 for non-OEM.

Sounds expensive, are these prices accurate?

Also, before someone says do it yourself, Im not equipped for that.

I had the dealer replace the driver side wheel bearing in mine a couple of years ago. It cost about $400. They didn't have to replace the hub. As pointed out above, you can buy the whole assembly and replace it yourself for much cheaper. It's not a terrible job depending on how mechanically inclined you are. I later replaced the CV axle shaft myself which basically required the same disassembly/and removal of the hub assembly.

Oops, I didn't see the "do it yourself constraint" to your post. At least you know. :D

Rock Auto- Dorman/Timken fully assembled hub/bearing for a little over $100 and no labor cost if you do it yourself. Easy install. Can be done in under an hour. I’ve done it plenty of times.
