Wheel ID Help

Hello Guys,
I'm trying to determine which wheels are on my 99 4Runner. IIRC the person I bought the truck from 6 years ago said they were Land Cruiser wheels. I'm seeing a bunch of rims for LCs, fj80, etc but I'm not sure what the differences are.

Any help would be appreciated.

Those look like 1993-1998 Toyota Land Cruiser "machined" aluminum rims which are usually 16" x 8", 6 Lug, 5.5" Bolt Pattern

Thanks. I want to do the tundra brake upgrade and I'm pretty sure these wheels won't clear the 231mm caliper. Maybe the 199mm will work without any modification?

Correct. You can trim down the caliper or the inner wheel to make the 231mm calipers work. I think you can also use a small spacer too, but that I'm not sure on.

Some 16" wheels will clear the 231mm calipers, some won't. I've read spacers help 16" rims clear the larger calipers, but honestly, if the 199mm rotors are the same thickness as the 231s then the diameter difference is almost irrelevant as the rotor thickness is the biggest advantage of the TBU

I just ordered the parts for the 199mm TBU. I'd prefer the 13wl calipers but I don't want to run spacers or change out the wheels so I'm settling for the s13we calipers. From what I've read on here it's still a nice upgrade over the stock set up.

I went with the Brembo 25534 rotors, akebono act812 pads, and raybestos calipers frc11039 and frc11040. All from amazon for $378 after tax.

Thanks again to Timmy the Toolman for the excellent video on the TBU. I'm looking forward to getting started.

Did the 199mm TBU today. Pretty easy job after watching Tim's youtube video a few times. This was my first time messing with brakes. Only difficult part was removing some of the nuts and bolts due to rust. I had to use vice grips to remove the brake line from the caliper since the flare wrench started to round the nut.

The S13WE's bolted right on with no problems clearing my LC wheels.

I wish I could of done the bigger calipers but even the 199mm feels like a very nice upgrade over the stock set up.
