Wheel Insight

I'm thinking about buying Method NV wheels for my 2014 4runner and was wondering if upgrading to forged wheels would be worth it? I believe that method wheels are aluminum alloys formed from low-pressure casting. Most of my off roading is desert/light trails (I live in Texas) and so my logic was I didn't need forged and I should just focus on buying a light wheel. Any insight would be appreciated.

Forging is quite an expensive process and not really worth it for light off-roading. Most people here run alloys of some kind with no problems. Since you are looking at Method rims, you might be a bit sticker-shocked at how expensive forged rims actually are....

For example:
B58 Truck Wheel ? Weld Wheels

Appreciate the insight. I was thinking that I didn't need forged but just wanted to make sure before I jump the gun on the Method NV's.

I don't think method makes hub centric wheels for toyotas which blows. They use the plastic center cap as centering rings which sucks.

Kmc wheels recently released hub centric options for the tundra and land cruiser. Might be worth checking out.

I have the Method NV on my tundra and they're phenomenal. They balanced perfectly and are so much better than stock. I haven't heard many bad things about Method. Reasonably affordable as well which is nice. Pic for reference.
