Had great success w/ plasti dip. Hardly any prep involved, just clean up the rims really well. Painted them with the tires on, and still holding up great. Click on my build thread if you want some pics.

Techmen17, that looks sooo good! I have tried the Plasti Dip on some random trim pieces and it has turned out very well. Question for those of you who have done it, how does the Plasti Dip hold up in car washes? I would be worried that an automatic car wash would ruin it. Any experiences that has "taken the paint off"?

Taken the car into washman several times, and also washed it myself several times. Haven't noticed any damage or scratches to the wheels, even driving on gravel and dirt roads....

BLK Vinyl wrapped Limited wheels

Awesome results!!
took me about 10 mins each to lay down the vinyl on each wheel and 20 mins per wheel to cut the excess vinyl off. i applied all the vinyl the first day and gave it a day to dry. great results for minimal effort.
check it out!
