wheel shake problem

wheel shakes and shimies at 55mph and above. changed tires and rebalanced and the problem persists. 2000 4runner with 70km. Need help!!

get them balanced again, make sure they are a good reputable shop, and just because you got them balance more than once doesnt mean they were ever balanced properly. And if thats not it that you may need to get the front end aligned.

hey welcome to the forum...

hate to be the ******* to say it, but the search function is your friend. there's a ton of guys on here who have had this problem before, and there's a ton of threads about it. no big deal though


check out your steering rack bushings, they're a turbo common cause of a front end shake

also check the inner tie rods. they have a ball and socket kind of joint (similar to your shoulder) and the nylon bushing inside breaks down over time and they become loose
