Wheel size options

I was looking at upgrading the wheels on my wife’s 5th gen. I think I’d like to stick with 17s. I was hoping 17x10s would work? I would like to have a substantial amount of tire hanging out of the wheel. I am wondering how much width and offset I can have on stock suspension?

I have plans to put a 4” on it later this year. Even after the 4” i won’t install tires usual for the amount of lift.

Let me know if any more info is needed. Looking forward to learning more about these.

Wide rims on what tire?

You're going to get tire rub on the wheel wells.

What size tire do you plan to put on these 17x10 rims? Take a look at tire specs to find what size rims you need for any given tire.

I put LT285/70R17 AT tires on 17x8.5" rims and it works great. I had to lift the vehicle 3" to get them to clear and I removed the front mud flaps. I still get a little rub on the body mount when backing up and turning the wheel sharply.

No bigger than 17x9.........and there are no tires that will work on a 10'' rim without looking Ricer.
