Wheel slip and VSC

To the best of my knowledge, my VSC has never activated. I've had the lights come on, but not beeping sounds. When I throw my truck into reverse, without fail when I step on the gas, the rear wheel spins or slips, but VSC has no reaction. I have new tires too, Mich CTs, so I don't know why my tires slip anyway.

interesting, i dont see why you would have wheel spin especially with new rubbers....

Did you make sure they didn't over-inflate them?

its easy to get the rear wheels to break free and spin, and then VSC kicks in

depends on how much pedel your giving it

Well, the other day I got the light and beeping. The roads were dry, it hadn't rained for days and there was not a cloud in the sky and I went into a turn at about 50 MPH.

I guess they had pumped some water out of a ditch or something because I hit the water and felt the 4Runner slide...I didn't panic...I let it slide and turned the wheel slightly to the left and eased off the gas... off went the lights, bells and whistles..then it caught traction after I made it through the water and I went on my merry way...

I have tried flooring it from a stop light with wet roads but no lights or beeps ever went off. Maybe i dont push it hard enough. Thats why i posted a thread how to tell if it was off or on cause i couldnt tell.

The second day I had my 4Runner I gunned it into a round-about while it was raining. Not smart. The tires had no traction, and i drifted big time causing the sound, light, and the weird noise the engine makes when it cuts power. Very scary and needless to say, I never want to hear that beep again!
