Wheel Spacers Anyone?

Anyone have a suggestion of the best place to buy some wheel spacers for the 4Runner? And feel free to put some photos up of your rig with spacers!

I use AllPro 1.5" on the front of mine.. Really like them. Any should work fine but I would stick with a company that has a reputable name. Be sure you know if you need "hub"centric or "lug"centric when you order them...
 
Just keep an eye out in the classifieds, that's what I did and came up on spidertrax 1.25 spacers. I like the look a lot. The spidertrax spacers have a really good reputation as well.

Dumb question, and hopefully I didn't screw myself. But I just bought a set of used spacers. I forgot to ask if they were hub centric or not. Is there a way of telling? And how do I know what my wheels are? I have FJ80 wheels the acorn style.

Hubcentric should have ring around the outside of the "O" for the rim to "rest" on

Hubcentric use the hub itself to align the wheel (auto locking hubs) lugcentric use the lugs to align the wheel (manual hubs) so if you shift into 4wheel and dont need to get out and turn your hublock, you want hubcentric.. But lug centric normally works with either.. The rim isnt what makes a diff.. Its the hub itself. Hub centric has a smaller inside diameter to fit snug around the hub.

I'm running Spidertrax 1.25" right now, but in the past I have run some from Motorsport Tech in .75". Both are high quality. Like others have said, make sure you get hub-centric. This will avoid vibrations on the highway and will allow the hub area to carry the weight instead of the lugs.

Make a big difference in what? Rubbing? Stance? Can you rub the wheels on the fenders at compression? I'm doing a lift and 285's right now with new UCA's, jst curious.

I am trying to figure out why I might need them. I don't mind getting them, but I should have a good reason. I could see a reason for the Tundra Brake upgrade on my stock three spoke wheels, but i can do the 199's instead. Right now my rotors are straight and plenty of stopping power.

I'm running 1.25" Spidertrax spacers on just my front 2 wheels. I originally only planned on running them temporarily until I bought new wheels that would fit over the big Tundra calipers, but after having them on for a while, I've found I like the look and the ride.

Because I do a lot of quick cornering, I like the extra wheel base it gives me. :lookout:
 
I should mention, I will occasionally get rubbing on the right front if fully turned and flexed. I'm running 275/75/16 Cooper ATP's, but an old stock suspension (no lift), which is next on my list of upgrades.
 
My tires rubbed on the control arm baaaaaad before I got them, and my wheels were so tucked in under my body it was stupid but now no rubbing at all and my stance looks much better now

This is exactly what was going on with mine. But if you're getting aftermarket uca's you might not need the spacers FYI.
 
I bought 1.5" spacers to put all the way around the car to clear the tundra brakes up front until I can afford new rims and tires. Am I going to see any problems with rubbing? I'm running 80 series rims.

really the spacers are for looks and if your rubbing on your uca so if theres not much rubbing and you dont care for the looks then save your money haha

i recommend allpro, they may might be reputable like spidertrax but i doubt theres a significant quality difference and for each size you save money going with allpro mine are perfect
