Wheel Spacers Anyone?

I run the Spidertrax 1.5's and they work great. Got em at 4WheelParts.

I know there are other reputable spacer companies out there, so do your research and don't skimp on price on this purchase if you go this route. I've seen some really nasty pics of spacer failures. I went Spidertrax because of their solid rep.

Oh, and I decided to use spacers for two reasons: 1. I will eventually (very soon) do the Tundra brake mod and don't want issues with caliper clearance, and 2. I was rubbing after lift and tires. HOWEVER, adding spacers took care of the rubbing in one spot and moved it to another. So, I still had to whip out the grinder. But, all good and happy now. It takes extreme circumstances to rub now (full turn, big bump, ect). Love my spacers and the look/function they provide. Yes, you can see these are hub-centric...and pretty blue. Too bad you can't see them after the tires are mounted. Just my .02.

I got the blue spidertrax 1.25" because I needed them that day, and that's what 4wheelparts had in stock. Been running them for about 5k miles. No complaints.

question, im putting 265/75/16's on stock 5 spoke rims,and im not lifted. ive read they will clear, but i was interested in adding wheel spacers for a wider track width. can anybody tell me if im gonna run into clearance issues? my 4runner still has floor boards on it also if that matters. thanks guys! :lookout:

Wanted to kick this thread up. I am looking into some spacers. I like the added width, yes for looks but also curious to hear from folks how this effected handling?

Does it calm any high speed wobble?

Any other things to note?

Any install best practices?

Spidertraxx 1.25" is what I have. You need to order two sets.

Installed: The Green Machine!

Order 2: Toyota 1.25" Thick Wheel Spacers

They come with thread locker and the hardware required. I like the look of these, it makes my lift feel more stable and best of all driving through mud now paints the side of the truck.

+1 For spidertrax... I've been using those for past 6+ years and no issues ever! Make sure to use blue thread locker when attaching the spacer to hub. Follow the instructions.
Buy Hub-centric spacers (not lug centric).

In my case wheel spacers exacerbated the effects of tire imbalance. I believe this is since the length of the lever arm of the body (chunk of tire) producing the force is increased the amount of force is increased. Not an expert.
