Wheel spacers...

Does anyone know if wheel spacers are recommended when doing a 3" suspension lift, and adding larger than stock tires? I think i am going to leave my stock rims on the vehicle, so i don't know if wheel spacers will be needed!

Reviving a dead post... can we get some more opinions on this? i rubbed with micheline 265/75's on the upper control arms. does raising the vehicle have an impact on the UCA moving?

Questions are for a friend, I dont rub anymore :P

and also wheel spacers are illegal in my state for saftey and emissions.

The higher you lift an IFS, the closer it will bring the tires to the UCAs. I'm surprised you rubbed with 265s, I'm guessing you must not have had stock rims? You can't get spacers in your state?! I never knew they were illegal in some states, I can't believe they're legal here in CA, we're always the first to lose our rights before the rest of the states! - especially if the law makes no sense.

He could buy wheels with less backspacing than the wheels he has now and that would give him the same result.

Im one of those guys that use's his runner for... running around the mountains, and yeah with some bumpy roads after the sway bar end link breaks yeah it was rubbing the UCA's and this kid who wants 285s rally's his runner just like me :) ours our defiantly not in the mall crawler category, but you do get better parking on snow mounds at the mall with them!!

We both have the stock same rims of the three or six star one... his is the one im parked on in my avatar.
