Wheel Spacers...

Ok, give me the info,

Ron, Sn0wrunner, Greenmonster and I just finished putting coilovers in my 96 4runner not more than a few hours ago,

on my way from Rons' to work, I noticed some rubbing, and I am super close to the upper control arm..

I need some spacers, and I need them this afternoon, I ended up avoiding the highways all the way to work,

I only prob need 1/4 inch on each side. my tires are already naturally wider,

I am on 285's

Everyone always talks about Spidertrax ones, why are those so good??

GreenMonster, u were mentioning some other ones, which ones were you talking about??

thoughts anyone?

i'm pretty sure the ones i was thinking of are the ones that Elton has. pm him and see what he is running because i can't find them and wabfab and spidertrax don't sell anything less than 1 inch

1/4'' spacers could take a grinder to it gain little more but as little as i wheel mine its fine

I had like maybe a 1.4 inch if that to start with, I plan on wheeling, would you guys recommend more like 1/2 inch or something?

Could I put 2- 1/4 inch spacers on each wheel??

ya i think any bigger gonna have to get some bolt one ones since these there just enough hub left where it dont vibrate to bad

If you're interested in going with a wide track spacer, I run an All Pro 1.25 Hubcentric spacer, no vibrations AT ALL!!

I ended up finding spidertrax spacers from a member on here...and I have a TON of room in there now.

I would stay away from those 1/4" spacers and I would NEVER recommend putting two of them together on one wheel!

So I was originally gonna go with a 1/2 inch spacer, but I plan on 4wheeling with Co4lo and all the guys from t4r here in colorado, so Im gonna need more space right??

if Im sitting maybe 1/4 inch(if that) away from the control arm, and my tires already stick out a bit from the fender, would you recommend a 1" spacer?? 1.25" spacer??

I know a T4R guy that offered to sell me his spidertrax 1.25" but I was worried about it looking weird??? would those be the best??

my truck looks sick with the spidertrax 1.25" spacers...and there's a ton of room...I'd recommend that route.

Orrrr.....try and find some LC wheels? they're a super low offset and you can fit 35's (like MillerPKA) with no spacers

the only way Im getting new wheels and tires is if they cost less than what someone wants to buy my wheels and tires for... My wife is complaining (jokingly for now) that I spend more time and money on the 4runner than her

she pulled out her ring and said 2k (actually it was 3) and pointed to my runner and said 5k (what ive put into it since June wheels/tires,lift,clutch,fluids,etc)

I think Ill see what I can get the spacers for then I can be like u LINY!

Liny-You sure about the lc wheels and 35's with no spacers? I think you need spacers with those too.

if I did 1.25" would I have to do all 4? would it be noticeable if I only did 2??

Ive only got 1.25 spacers on the front of mine and its hardly noticeable. I was in the same boat so I only ordered 2 and see how it looks. I now do not plan on ordering spacers for the rear. Just get the front 2 and forget about it.

Liny-Damn dude you got me excited lol. Ive been looking for some new rims and was going to try to eliminate the spacers but the only rims we can run with 35's and no spacers is mickey thompson classic II.
