Wheel speed sensor broke in two when replacing

Hey guys,

I have a bad front right wheel speed sensor and when removing the old one it broke in two pieces. Now i cannot remove the portion that goes into the hub. Looking for any tips on how to get that out without doing too much damage. Found some videos and posts of people using a drill to drill out the old part....but that seems like a risky choice.

Let me know if anyone has any thoughts or tips.

As in the sensor is still in the spindle? Pull the hub, should be able to pop it out from the inside. Gotta remove the brake caliper, brake disc, then it's 4 17mm bolts holding the hub to the spindle. 4wd you have to push the cv axle out of the spindle and that might require the 2 19mm bolts on the bottom.

Yeah, I had this happen to me. It's a pain, but you'll need to pull the hub out and force the broken piece out the other side.
Also, I strongly recommend replacing with the more expensive OEM toyota sensor and not the super cheap ones from amazon or ebay. They are total junk, mine didn't last 6 months.

yeah exactly. I was afraid i was going to have to remove the hub to get it from the inside. Thanks for the help!
