Wheel/Tire newb - need help.

So I won a set of my dream wheels. They're 18x9, 0mm offset.

I'm currently stock right now and would like to stay as close to stock as possible. I don't have a lift or anything.

I don't know much about offset, so would 265/65/18 or 275/65/18 cause me to rub at all. I've done some searching but not many people run 18" on 5th gens.

I'm going off this fitment guide but still asking you guys due to offset being different.

A zero offset wheel means that the center of the wheel is the same distance to the inside and outside of the wheel. TRD Pro wheels have a zero offset so it will be 3.5 inches to the inside (called backspacing) of the wheel and 3.5 inches to the outside from the center since they are 7" wide. Obviously stock wheels fit fine on a stock suspension but I have read that some have put 275s on with no problems and 285s with minor trimming of the fender liners or small cuts to the bumper (easy to do).

Regarding your 9" wheels, you would have 4.5" to the inside and 4.5" to the outside from the center of your wheels. So that is an additional inch both ways compared to the TRD Pro wheels. I would guess that the 265/65/18 would work or would require minor trimming but that is just a guess and it may be difficult to know for sure given that I don't really recall anyone running 18 inch wheels here.

Maybe you are right. I guess I was thinking of most aftermarket wheels like Icon or Methods. 4mm should not make much of a difference though.

Good offset website to make comparisons is https://www.willtheyfit.com/ - you can compare your current offset to potential new fits. Won't answer the rub question for you, but it helps understand the poke or strut clearance when you're changing offsets.

Close, but when you calculate backspacing you also need to account for the lip on your wheel that is not taken into account when you talk about a wheels width. Usually assumed to be 1/2”. Your backspacing would closer to 4” here.
